Community events and activities
We are always pleased to welcome groups to the Somerset Earth Science Centre for educational or community events. You can enjoy full use of the Centre building, grass picnic area, lake and woodlands with space for up to 100 people inside and out.

Groups that have used our facilities for community events include; Somerset Wildlife Trust, local Cub scouts Pack , Environmental Partnership Award and Shepton Mallet Autism Support Group, Yoga Retreats and many more.
The Centre is used as a venue for a variety of recreational activities, including yoga, knit and natter, spinning and willow weaving, or wildlife workshops. We host one-off and regular events throughout the year, helping to bring the community together and support social health and wellbeing. See our events below. We are always happy to consider adding new activities, lectures and workshops to our calendar. Please contact us to find out more, or if you would like us to host a community event.
