The Centre offers a day of activities led by our staff. All education material has been developed by Centre staff and is linked to the National Curriculum and QCA schemes of work. We will take a class of up to 32 children/students for a day of activities.

Schools are required to bring adults for supervision, at least 1 adult to 8 children. Some classes may require extra supervision, this can be discussed at time of booking. All visitors must come equipped with suitable clothing for outdoor work, wellies and a packed lunch.

We can teach on many aspects of quarrying including, quarry processes, health & safety, environmental impact management, sustainability, careers and business studies. We can also use Vallis Vale and the Centre's location to teach about the natural world including river studies, collecting minibeasts, industrial archaeology, woodland conservation and art in nature.
